37. Summoning of witnesses and production of documents:--
-- (1) The ChairpersonDefined in rule 2(f): Chairperson means the Chairperson of the Board may summon any person to appear as a witness if required in the course of the discharge of his duty and require any person to produce any document.
(2) Every person who is summoned and appears as a witness before the BoardDefined in rule 2(e): Board means the Central Advisory Board constituted by the Central Government under sub section (1) of section 42 shall be entitled to an allowance for expenses incurred in accordance with the scale for the time being in force for payment of such allowance to witnesses appearing before a civil court.
